William D. Cormier, age 58, of Brockton, died March 29, 2015 at Signature Healthcare-Brockton Hospital, surrounded by his family. Bill was the loving husband for 37 years of Mary F. (Papineau) Cormier. Lifelong of Brockton, he was a son of Eleanor C. (Morea) (Cormier) Christie of Brockton and the late Kenneth Cormier. He was a 1975 graduate of Brockton High School and for 20 years was employed at Woolworths and retired as the Store Manager of Home Goods after 10 years. Bill was a car enthusiast, avid dog lover and lifelong Boston sports fan.
Bill is survived by his children William Cormier, Jr., Heather Rios and her husband Carlos, and Moira Cormier all of Brockton; a grandson Carter Rios; and his in-laws Marshall and Christine (Crowley) Papineau. He is also survived by Mary’s brothers and sisters; his step father William Christie of Brockton, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Bill was the brother of the late David Cormier.
