Eleanor (O’Hare) Paquet passed away peacefully on March 28, 2015 at Scallabrini Villa in North Kingstown.
Born in Fall River, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary (Sullivan) O’Hare. Eleanor graduated from Sacred Heart Academy and from the University of Rhode Island where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Childhood Development.
After raising a family, she spent her career as an academic advisor at Bryant University, Smithfield, where she retired in 1994. After her retirement, she spent her days doing what she loved most - taking care of her grandson, James Patrick Flynn. Eleanor was an avid reader; she loved talking long walks, loved animals and nature. During her retirement, she volunteered her time visiting Hospice patients, providing comfort and companionship to them. She was a member of St. Thomas Church, North Providence where she volunteered in the food pantry.
She was the mother of Marianne Flynn and her husband James of Narragansett, Jane Davis of Los Angeles, CA and the late William Paquet, Jr. and loving grandmother to James Patrick Flynn of Narragansett. She was the loving sister of Angela Hopkins of Virginia Beach, VA, Sr. Virginia O’Hare of Taunton, MA, William O’Hare of Chevy Chase, MD and the late Mary O’Hare.
Funeral service Wednesday at 11am in ANDERSON-WINFIELD funeral home. Burial at St. Patrick Cemetery in Fall River. Visitation 10-11am . In lieu of flowers, donations to American Cancer Society. For message of condolence and directions visit andersonwinfield.net
