Dexter C. Stalker
...former Q.C. Engineer at Digital; 71
TEWKSBURY - Dexter C. Stalker, 71 a veteran and former engineer for Digital, died Friday
evening, Jan. 28, at the Lowell General Hospital after a brief illness. He was the husband of
Dolores T. “Dolly” (Guerin) Stalker, with whom he had celebrated a 45th wedding anniversary this
past Aug. 23rd.
He was born in Lowell, Mar. 6, 1933, a son of the late Joshua and Helen (Cook) Stalker. He was
raised in Tewksbury and graduated Tewksbury High School in 1950. He was accomplished at
high school sports, and was elected Captain of the Redmen baseball team.
He enlisted in the U.S. Army, and served during the Korean War.
He graduated Bentley College in Waltham, and later Lowell Technological Institute, now U.
Mass Lowell.
In his earlier career, he worked at Sanders Associates in Nashua, NH, and later worked
throughout Digital Equipment Corporation’s Southern New Hampshire installations as a Q.C.
Engineer. He was recently honored as a co founder of Digital’s Corporate Golf League. In his
later years, he joined the “Over the Hill” Soccer League, and especially enjoyed vacation travel.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Karen Stalker of Dracut and Sheryl Stalker of
NY; five grandchildren, Daniel, Erin, Paul, Dustin and Haley; a brother Harold Stalker and his
wife Mildred (Vieira) Stalker of Tewksbury; a sister-in-law; Gleeann and her husband Richard
Lagasse of Fla; two nephews; Michael Stalker of NH, Brandon Lambert of Tewksbury; and a
niece, Shelly Stalker of Tewksbury.
His funeral was held Thursday, Feb. 3, in the funeral home. Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, No.
