New Bedford – Harold Joseph "Sonny" Steadman, age 78 of New Bedford, passed away on Thursday March 26, 2015 at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was the loved husband of Priscilla (Fonseca) Steadman and the son of the late Rose (Keys) and late Harold Steadman. He was born in Boston and worked as a self-employed Oil Burner Technician until his retirement.
Mr. Steadman proudly served our country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.
His family includes his wife, Priscilla Steadman, of New Bedford; 4 children: Kevin Steadman of Taunton, Kelly Marlowe and her husband, Brad, Kimberly Steadman and Kendra Steadman, all of New Bedford; 7 Grandchildren: Kristina, Alicia, Lindsay, Randy, Harold, Priscilla and Kaelyse; 3 great grandchildren: Brianna, Devonte and Leanna; 2 siblings: Gertrude Beck of California and Mildred Clements of Boston; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Private arrangements were placed in the care of Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. in New Bedford.
