Obituary

Heather Lynn Coburn, 50, of Meredith, N.H., formerly of Andover, Mass., passed away unexpectedly Friday, March 20. She was born in Methuen on November 13, 1964; she is the daughter of Andrew and Bernadine “Bunny” Casey Coburn of Andover, Mass.
Heather graduated from Andover High School in 1982 and attended Boston University. She was a secretary in the Office of the Provost at Boston University, and a legal secretary at the law firm of Epstein, Baker and Green of Boston. Heather later worked for Sheehan, Phinney, Bass & Green of Manchester, N.H. Following the birth of her beloved son, Andy, there was nothing more important to Heather than raising him at home, so she established and ran an in-home daycare for many years in Canterbury, N.H. Her most recent role was assisting her mother and helping to care for her beloved father.
Heather was a talented interior decorator who could turn trash into treasure, and gave every home she lived in her distinctive touch. She loved nature and as a child even befriended worms and painted turtles. She was a Satin Doll, beautiful inside and out, always having a free spirit.
In addition to her mother and father, she will be profoundly missed by her son, Andrew Coburn Contrada of Wolfeboro, N.H.; her brother, Kevin, and his wife, Blanche Murray, of Waimanalo, HI; her sisters and their husbands, Cathleen Coburn and Michael Caruso of Windham, N.H.; Krista Coburn and Daniel Earley of Nashua, N.H.; and Lisa Coburn and William Brennan of Windham, N.H.; her loving companion Alan Saylor and his son, Wyatt, of Meredith, N.H.; her former husband, John Contrada of Wolfeboro, N.H.; nieces and nephews Ryan Murray; Kristopher Dery; Cassandra, William and Joseph Earley; Casey and Connor Brennan; great nieces and nephews Breannah and Bella Dery; and Caelan and Travis Earley as well as several aunts and uncles whose children considered Heather as much their sister as they did their cousin.
Relatives and friends are invited Monday, March 30 from 2 to 8 p.m. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home Inc., 35 Merrimack Street, North Andover, Mass. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 31 at noon at North Parish Unitarian Universalist Church, 3 Great Pond Road, North Andover.
A private burial will take place at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Andrew Coburn Contrada College Fund, c/o Lisa Brennan, 22 Forest Street, Windham, NH 03087.
