Obituary

RAYMOND, NH: William J. Croston, 76, died Sunday, March 22, 2015 in the Exeter Hospital following a brief illness. He was the husband of Cynthia Anne (Leavitt) Croston.
Born in Haverhill on July 28, 1938, he was the son of the late William and Doris (Derenzo) Croston. He had attended Haverhill Trade School and had resided in Haverhill for many years before moving to Raymond in 1980.
Bill was employed at Foss Manufacturing, A.E.P. Plastics and Sanders Company for many years. He had also once worked at Nike Shoe Co. and Western Electric for several years. He loved to play golf and was an avid Boston sports fan.
In addition to his wife of thirty-nine years, he is survived by five sons, William J. Croston and his wife, Sherri of Greenup, KY, Richard Croston of S. Portland, ME., Kelly Croston and his wife, Lorna of Haverhill, Daniel Croston and his wife, Raeann of Fremont, NH and Sean Croston and his wife, Shaylee of Strafford, NH; ten grandchildren, William Croston, Jr., Aimee Lynn Croston, Kyle Croston, Keith Zatzos, Samantha Croston, Katelyn Croston, Tyler Croston, Natalya Croston, Brayden Croston and Liam Croston; two great-grandchildren, Caden and Chloe Croston; three sisters, Diane Pearl and her husband, Richard, Patricia Khentigan and Barbara LaPlante and her husband Richard; four brothers-in-law, Daniel Leavitt and his wife, Denise, Michael Leavitt and his wife, Chris, Timothy Leavitt and Patrick Leavitt; a sister-in-law, Virginia Mitchell and her husband, Steve and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday in the Linnehan-Grondin Funeral Home, 129 Kenoza Ave., Haverhill from 4 – 6 p.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. Funeral services will be privately held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to Cynthia Croston, c/o People’s United Bank, 55 Main St., Raymond, NH 03077.
