Effie Carlson, 88, formerly of 30 Goodale St., died Friday, November 2, in the Oakdale Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center after a illness.
She leaves several nephews and nieces. She was born in Worcester, daughter of John and Alma (Johnson) Carlson. She was a foreperson at Wright Line Co. in Worcester for many years, before retiring. Previously she worked at Brocklemens Market in Worcester. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church. She was a avid gardener, excelled at cooking and was a collector of antiques.
A private funeral will be held Tuesday, November 6, in Fay Brothers Funeral Home 1 West Boylston St. Burial will be in All Faith Cemetery, Worcester. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Christ Lutheran Church 112 Crescent St. West Boylston, 01583.
