Obituary

Roland A. Simoneau, 57, of Nashua died January 26, 2005 in his residence after a sudden illness.

Born on July 2, 1947, he was the son of Roger and Marie (Nault) Simoneau. He lived in Greenfield many years before moving to Nashua many years ago.

During the Vietnam War he served two tours of duty with the US Army.

Mr. Simoneau worked as an interpreter for the hearing disabled at Crotched Mountain in Greenfield for many years. He also worked with youth groups at the Nashua YWCA and as a custodian at the Nashua District Court.

He was known by many as “Mr. Wonderful”.

The family includes seven brothers, Norman R. Simoneau of Manchester, Robert G. Simoneau of Pembroke, Donald O. Simoneau of Manchester, Rosaire Simoneau of Ottawa, Ontario, Leo A. Blouin of Fremont and Michael Terrel of Jacksonville, FL; Raymond Simoneau of Hooksett; 2 sisters, Debbie Moore of Hooksett and Jeanne Sylvain or Raymond; aunts and many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday January 31, 2005 in St. Anthony Church, 172 Belmont St., Manchester. The burial was in NH State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.
