Obituary

SHREWSBURY-Harry H. Sadowski, 90, of 311 Main Street, formerly of 14 Fraternal Avenue, Worcester died Thursday, January 27th in St. Vincent Hospital. His wife Genevieve (Bonivkiewicz) Sadowski and his son Robert Sadowski predeceased him. He leaves 5 sisters, Christine Stockmal of Three Rivers, Marion LeBlond of Webster, Regina DiPadua of Shrewsbury, Elizabeth A. Anger of Worcester and Dorothy Turgeon of Millbury.

He was born in Worcester the son of Alexander and Sophia (Warchel) Sadowski, and was a graduate of Commerce High School and attended Northeastern University. He was a World War 2 Army veteran serving in the Pacific Theatre. Mr. Sadowski had been employed for 39 years as transportation coordinator for U. S. Steel Cable Works until he retired in 1962. He was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, VFW Post 6907 in West Boylston and the U.S. Steel Retirees Club, and was an avid deer hunter, fisherman and gardener.

The funeral is Monday, January 31st with a service at 11:00 AM in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. A calling hour will Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral. Please omit flowers and make contributions to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
