Nellio L. DiFava, 76 of Medford died Wednesday after a brief illness at home.
Born in Somerville, he lived in Medford since 1968 and was the son of the late Lorreta (Agresti) and Cesare DiFava. Nellio was a Truck Driver for the former Tilcon Company in New Bedford for 40 years and retired in 1994.
He served in the Army during the Korean War from 1950 to 1952. Mr. DiFava was a member of the Arlington Retired Mens Club and the Teamster’s Local 379.
Beloved husband of the late Louise G. (Ferrara). Devoted father of Stephen DiFava and his wife Michelle of Wilmington, Allen DiFava of Medford, Laura DiFava-Dellorfano and her husband Charles of Saugus, Loretta DiFava of Medford. Also survived by 7 loving grandchildren. Brother of Alfineo DiFava of Roslindale, Osvalda “Ozzie” Capotosto, Cesare DiFava, Leda Massie all of East Cambridge, Lorreta Mugford of Nashua, NH and Marcello DiFava of Roslindale.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Monday at 8 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden, at 9 AM.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Sunday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
