New Bedford – Cecilia E. (LaFrance) Rivard, 98, of Westport died Monday, January 24, 2005 at Sacred Heart Home. She was the widow of Joseph E. Rivard.
Mrs. Rivard was born in Fall River, daughter of the late Joseph and Wilhemina (Larouche) LaFrance, and had resided in Westport for the past 30 years. Prior to retirement she was a mill worker for various mills in the area. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Grace Church, Westport. She was a member of Dames de St. Anne of Notre Dame Parish, Fall River.
She is survived by a son: Edward Rivard of Baltimore, MD; a daughter: Jeanne Tunney of Westport; 8 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Claire Guay.
Mass of Christian Burial to which relatives and friends are invited will be Thursday, January 27, 2005 at Our Lady of Grace Church, Westport at 10:00 A.M.
Interment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
