PLYMOUTH, NH - Marianne L. “Mickey” (Lundin) Bonyman, age 64, a former bank teller in
the Tewksbury and Woburn areas, died Jan. 23, at her home after a twenty year battle with
emphysema. She was the beloved wife of Robert L. Bonyman, who died in 1994.
She was born in Woburn, Nov. 17, 1940, a daughter of the late Carl Warren Lundin and Edith
(Stenquist) Jones. She was raised in the Woburn and Billerica areas. She lived in Tewksbury for
over 36 years before moving to Plymouth, NH a year ago.
She worked at the Lowell Five Cent Savings Bank, and later retired from the Woburn Five Cent
Savings Bank. She was also involved in her family’s business of Architectural Woodworking.
She, along with her husband, invented the Original Bonyman Jig, a device widely used to make
curved wood casings and moldings.
Throughout her long battle with emphysema, she participated in several medical studies, and was
an early recipient of the LUVERS procedure, which was experimental lung volume reduction
surgery.
She was also a licensed Ham Radio operator, who along with her husband ran a “MARS”
(Military Affiliated Radio Station) which allowed servicemen to make stateside telephone calls to
their families at home during the Vietnam War.
Mrs. Bonyman also held membership in the Billerica social group known as the “Saints.”
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law; Robin Bernard and her husband Frank of Ashland,
NH; a son and daughter-in-law, John and his wife Cheryl (Fisk) Bonyman of Tewksbury; four
grandchildren, Aimee and Nikki Bernard, Elizabeth and Robert Bonyman; a great granddaughter,
April Lee; five Brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald and Marylou Lundin, Warren “Bubba” and
Shirley Lundin all of Woburn, Kevin and Carol Lundin of Saugus, Les and Melody Lundin of
Colorado Springs, CO, William and Denise Lundin of Malden, two sisters and brothers-in-law
Lorna and Daniel Falasca of Malden, Janet and Ed Gray of Lincoln, ME; and numerous nieces,
nephews and dear friends.
She was also the step-daughter of the late Robert Jones.
Relatives and friends will be received Friday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. in the funeral home. Her Funeral Service will be held Friday evening at 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
Interment will be private. Memorials to the Pemi Baker Home Health and Hospice, 258 Highland
St., Suite 14, Plymouth, NH 03264 will be appreciated.
