Obituary

LOWELL—Gertrude (Wall) Callery, 85 years old, died Monday afternoon, January 24th, at the Sutton Hill Center, in North Andover, after a long illness.

She was born in Lowell, on November 14, 1919, a daughter of the late James and Mary (Quealy) Wall, and was the beloved wife of the late Andrew R. Callery, who died in 2001.

Mrs. Callery was a graduate of The Immaculate Conception Grammar School, The Academy of Notre Dame in Tyngsboro and Lowell Commercial College.

She was a lifelong resident of the Belvidere section of Lowell. She was also a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church where she was baptized and married.

Surviving her are three sons and daughters-in-law: Brian and Olga Callery, of Andover; Kevin and Wendy Callery, of Andover; and Dr. Mark and Angela Callery, of Westborough; a brother: James Wall, of Ormond Beach, FL; ten grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Thursday morning, January 27th, from 9 to 10:30 AM at the MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 187 Nesmith Street, (Rte. 38). Her Funeral Mass to be offered Thursday morning, January 27th, at 11 AM at the IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHURCH, Lowell. Burial in St. Patrick Cemetery, Lowell. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Immaculate Conception Church; 3 Fayette Street; Lowell, MA 01852.
