Peter F. Gorse of Dedham died January 24, 2005 at the Ellis Nursing Home in Norwood. He was 89. Born in Attleboro, he was the son of the late Peter & Elizabeth (Joyce) Gorse. Mr. Gorse was a World War II Army Veteran. He worked as the financial manager for A&P Tea Company. He was a member of the Dedham Retired Men’s Club, the Young at Heart Club, and the Dedham Group 1 Seniors. Mr. Gorse was also the Past Chairman of the Dedham Finance Committee and the Dedham Personal Board. He has lived in Dedham for 60 years.
He is survived by his wife Marion I. (Cardin) Gorse. His children Margaret G. Sullivan and her husband Eugene of Bedford, Peter F. Gorse Jr. and his wife Stephanie of Plymouth, and Michael P. Gorse of Dedham. Mr. Gorse is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
A funeral will be held from the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., DEDHAM, on Thursday at 8 am. Funeral mass in St. Susanna’s Church, Dedham at 9 am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours on Wednesday from 3-5 & 7-9 pm. Interment in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket, RI. Expressions of sympathy may be made in Peter’s memory to the charity of your choice.
