Obituary

BILLERICA: Michael Joseph Halloran, age 59, a resident of Billerica for the past year, former longtime resident of Somerville, died Wednesday, January 19, 2005 at Saints memorial Medical center in Lowell.
He was born in Boston on June 7, 1945, a son of the late Michael J. and Yvonne (Vignaux) Halloran.
Mr. Halloran was raised in Somerville and attended Somerville schools.
In 1967, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served during the Vietnam War.
He was awarded several decorations including the National Defense Service Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal. Mr. Halloran was employed as a shipping clerk by the U.S. Coast Guard in Boston.
He is survived by 2 sisters: Janet Halloran of Arlington and Judy Halloran of Tewksbury; 1 brother; Gerald Halloran of Londonderry, NH; his special niece; Dina Gilligan of Tewksbury; 2 additional nieces, 5 nephews, 7 grandnieces, 5 grandnephews and many wonderful friends.
Mr. Halloran was the brother of the late Richard, Robert and Kevin Halloran.
Calling will be held Sunday, Jan. 23rd from 2-6 p.m. and Monday, Jan. 24th from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. Funeral Mass Monday, Jan. 24th at 11:30 a.m. at St. Williams Church, 1351 Main St., Rte. 38, Tewksbury. Interment will follow at Tewksbury Cemetery.
