Obituary

WEBSTER – Stanislaw Lach, 70, of 43 Cushing Road, died Friday, Jan. 21, in Oakwood Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

He leaves his wife of 47 years, Alina (Agnieska) Lach; a son, Andrzej A. Lach and his wife Angela J. of Webster; 2 sisters, Maria and Jozefa Grzesiak of Poland; 3 grandchildren, Christopher, Carolyn and Ella Lach; nephews and nieces. A brother, Edward Lach, died in 1998.

He was born in Wolowice, county of Krakow, Poland, a son of Wladyslaw and Jozefa (Przebinda) Lach. He graduated from the high school in Krakow. He lived in Poland before moving to Webster in 1983.

Mr. Lach served for twenty years in the Polish Army Reserves, retiring in 1975 as a major.

He was a purchasing agent for Fiat in Tychy, Poland for many years. After moving here, he was a weaver at Anglo Print Works Company before retiring in 1994.

He was a member of St. Andrew Bobola Church in Dudley.

The funeral will be held Tuesday, Jan. 25, from the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School St., with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Andrew Bobola Church, 54 West Main St., Dudley. Burial will be in St. Joseph Garden of Peace. Calling hours are from 7:00 to 9:00 PM Monday, Jan. 24, at the funeral home.
