Funeral from the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123)Brockton Tuesday at 8 am. Funeral Mass in Christ the King Parish at 9 am. Burial in Melrose Cemetery. Visiting hours Monday 4-7 pm. Obituary
Mr. Cote died Friday morning at his son’s home after a brief illness. Born and raised in Brockton, son of the late Emile and Gertrude (Brewster) Cote. He was a graduate of Brockton High School Class of 1951 and served in the United States Coast Guard during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Cote had been employed as a firefighter for the City of Brockton for 17 years retiring in 1981. He was also employed as the Manager of the Meat Department for Curtis Farms-Tedeschi’s in Quincy, retiring in 1995. Following his retirement he moved to Greenville Junction, Maine.
He was an avid golfer and had been a member of the Golf Committee of Squaw Mountain Village in Greenville Junction, Maine, a fly fisherman, hunter, snow mobiler, ham operator, baseball and football fan, and enjoyed playing cribbage
He is survived by his children, Anne M. Seitsinger of North Kingstown, RI, Jeanne M. Olson of Milton, Richard E. Cote of Norton, Robert E. Cote of Eagle Bridge, NY, Sherie P. Cote of Bridgewater, and the late Stephen M. Cote; stepfather of Jannine Dawicki of Shelburne, MA, Robert Zutaut of Marion, Jason Zutaut of Rochester, five grandchildren, and his two former wives Claire E. (O’Brien) Cote of Raynham, and Jeanne M. (Gedutis) Cote of Bridgewater
