HAVERHILL – Albert E. “Alby” Marsden, 54, of Haverhill and formerly of Methuen died March 16, 2015 in Andover, MA.
Born and raised in Methuen, he attended Methuen Public Schools, relocating to Haverhill in 1998. Alby was employed at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington as a security/van driver for over 15 years.
Alby loved Star Trek, Dr. Who, The Walking Dead, animals and his family. Alby was an avid Patriots and Red Sox fan. He enjoyed traveling by car with his mother, spending time with his best (lifelong) friend Matt Timony, music groups Celtic Thunder, ABBA and the Whisper. Most of all Alby loved walks and rides in the car with his beloved dog Cody.
Alby was a gentle giant, a teddy bear of a man who left a lasting impression on all who met him, and will be truly missed.
He is survived by his mother, Patricia M. Marsden, was predeceased by his father Albert E. Marsden. He is also survived by his sisters, Kathleen Flemings, Nancy Marsden, Linda Marsden, Mary Beth Marsden and her significant other Fred DeBerardinis, June Harnden and her husband Phil and brothers William Marsden and his significant Sheila Briggs and Mark Marsden and his wife Janet. Nieces, Shanna, Mandy, Jaimie, Kristy and Rory; nephews, Philip, Tyler, Wayne, Lucas and Alex. Predeceased by Jimmy and Sean; great-nephews and great-nieces, Quentin, LJ, Jaimie, Matthew and Liam, Ana and Sofia and his beloved and faithful dog, Cody.

Huntington Ave. Boston, MA 02130, www.angell.org. Visiting hours for family and friends will be Sunday from 4:00p.m. – 8:00p.m. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc. 233 Lawrence Street Methuen, MA 01844. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 11:00a.m. in St. Monica’s Church in Methuen, MA. Burial will be at a later date at the convenience of the family.
