Sarah Ferullo, 89 of Somerville MA, died Saturday in the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston following a lengthy illness. Born in Boston, MA, she was the daughter of the late Mariano and the late Carmela Genovese. She was a longtime resident of Somerville formerly of Boston´s North and West Ends. She worked for over fifty years as a stitcher for the Trimount Clothing Co. of Roxbury and was a member of Amalgamated Garment Workers Union. Mrs. Ferullo was devoted to her family and loved knitting. As an expression of sympathy memorial contributions may be made in Sarah´s memoryto the Women's Lunch Place 79 Newbury St. Boston, MA 02116.
Sarah was the beloved wife of the late Eugene “Jack” Ferullo. Devoted mother of Louis A. Ferullo and his wife Selma, Rose A. Ventullo and her husband Nick all of Woburn. Loving grandmother of Maria Ventullo of Andover, Stephen Ferullo of Burlington, Nicholas Ventullo of CA and Robert Ventullo of Medford. Loving great grandmother of Jordan Ferullo, Michael Long, Neva and Seren Ventullo. Sister of Domenic Genovese of Reading, Frank Genovese of Revere the late Pauline DeAngelis, Adeline DiFronzo, Viola Marino, Gloria Addomi, Mafalda Del Trecco, Marie Savoia, Charles and Joseph Genovese. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St. MEDFORD Wednesday at 9 AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Polycarp Church, 100 Temple St., Somerville, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday 4 thru 9. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
