LOWELL—Irene C. (Champoux) Lord, 53 year old, a lifelong resident of Lowell, died Tuesday afternoon, January 18th, at her home after a long illness.
She was born in Lowell, on July 8, 1951, a daughter of the late Leo W. and Kathleen M. (Hawkins) (Champoux) Beaudry, and daughter of the late Emile Beaudry.
Mrs. Lord had been employed as a Machine Operator by the Middlesex Paper Tube, for over 23 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, children and grandchildren, as well as bingo and her trips to Foxwoods.
Surviving her are her five children and their spouses: Thomas Lord and Marie Schofield, of Lowell; Julie and Edward Wilcox, of Lowell; Timothy Lord and Tracy Fairweather, of Lowell; JoAnn and David Howell, of Lynn; and Ronald and Melissa Lord, Jr., of Dracut; eleven grandchildren: Jennifer Lord; Edward Wilcox; Jr., Emily Wilcox; Jared Wilcox; Hannah Lord; Taylor L’Ecuyer; Cody L’Ecuyer; Anthony Howell; Amelia Howell; Meegan Lord; and McKayla Lord; brothers and sisters: Raymond and June Champoux, of Glenpool, OK; James and Mona Champoux, of Lowell; Robert Beaudry, of Lowell; Roland Beaudry and Donna Bastien, of Hollis, NH; Robin Paige, of North Andover; Donna Beaudry, of Salisbury; and Victor and Maria Beaudry; Susan Champoux; Leon and Robin Champoux; Dennis Champoux; Roland and Priscilla Champoux; and Michael and Anita Champoux, all of Lowell; a her former husband: Ronald Lord, Sr., of Lowell; also many aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Donald Beaudry and Emile ‘Emo’ Beaudry.
Friends may call from 4 until 8 PM on Friday, January 21st, at the MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 187 Nesmith Street, (Rte. 38). Her funeral service will be held Saturday, January 22nd, at 10 AM at St. Patrick Cemetery Chapel, Lowell.
