Lois L. (Manchester) Benoit, age 86, passed away on Mar., 11, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center. She was born on Nov. 20, 1928 in Marshfield, MA. She was a daughter of the late Everett and Annie Mae (Pratt) Manchester. She was a communicant of the former Assumption Parish. She attended Assumption school and was a graduate of Chicopee High School. She was a student of the Springfield Conservatory of Music. Lois was an avid church go-er and was heavily involved in her parish, she was in charge of all Marian Literature for Assumption parish. She leaves her loving Husband, Donald Benoit of Chicopee; 2 sons, Donald Benoit Jr of South Hadley and Stephen Benoit of Chicopee; 4 daughters, Anne Werbicki and her husband John of Belchertown, Teresa Benoit and her husband Carlos Rave of AZ, Mary Russell and her husband Steven of AZ, and Paula Cox and her husband Christopher of Monson; 3 brothers, Wayne Manchester of CA, Richard Manchester of Ludlow and Edwin Manchester of CT; 1 sister Barbara Campagna of Chicopee; 5 grandchildren, Maramonie, Nicholas, Ariel, Alexandra and Christopher and 2 great grandchildren, Daphne and Maximillien. She is predeceased by her brothers John and David Manchester and also by her sister Edith Gerry. A funeral service will be held on Monday, March, 16, at 10:00 a.m. from the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee, followed by a Mass of Christian burial in Holy Name of Jesus Parish in Assumption Church at 11:00 a.m. followed by burial in St Stanislaus Cemetery.
