Eloise M. Skidgel, 83, of Manchester, died February 20, 2015 after a period of declining health.
Born in Bridgewater, ME on February 5, 1932, she was the daughter of Phair and Amber (Wheeler) Allen. Eloise served in the U.S. army as a clerk before spending most of her life working as a CNA in hospitals and nursing homes.
Family members include three brothers, M. Leroy Allen and his wife Gail of Alabama, L. Earl “Buster” Allen of New York, and P. Gerald Allen and wife Sandra of Canada; one sister, Darlene Cook and husband Bruce of Burnham, Maine; four grandchildren, Catherine, Ricky, Gerald and Timothy; and 8 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by both of her parents; her daughter Sharyl Lord; two sisters, Elene Anderson and Alberta Black; and her long time friend, Katherine Bissett.
