LOWELL—Helen F. Riley, 101 years old, died Tuesday morning, January 18th, at the Wentworth Skilled care Center.
She was born in Lowell, on January 28, 1903, a daughter of the late Frank E. and Eleanor M. (Hughes) Riley, and was graduated from the Morey Junior High, Lowell High School and the Lowell Vocational School.
Miss Riley resided many years in the Centralville section of Lowell and had been employed for many years as an Assembler by Baird Atomic, in Bedford.
She was a communicant of St. Michael’s Church and the Immaculate Conception Church and held membership in the Oblate Mission Club, and the Immaculate Conception Holy Rosary Sodality.
Surviving her are three nephews: Rev. Francis J. Ouellette, OMI, of the Immaculate Conception Church, Lowell; Dr. Eugene G. Ouellette, of Redlands, CA; and Marvin Murphy, of Madison, CT; three nieces: Eleanor Finn, of Salem, NH; Shirley Metzger, of Simsbury, CT; and Barbara Saunders, of Chelmsford; also several grandnieces and grandnephews.
She was the sister of the late William G. Riley, Winifred Rodgers, Irene S. Riley, Mary Ouellette and Alice Murphy.
Friends may call from 9:30 until 10:30 Thursday January 20th, at the MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 187 Nesmith Street, (Rte. 38). Her Funeral Mass to follow at 11 AM at the IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHURCH, Lowell. Burial in St. Patrick Cemetery, Lowell.
