Robert M. Desautels died January 13th 2005 at home surrounded by his loved ones. He was the husband of Patricia A. (Martin) Desautels of New Bedford. He was the father of Wayne R. Desautels of Dallas TX., Karen Ann Flynn and Keith A. Desautels both of New Bedford. He was the brother of Evelyn Chenail of Spring Hill FL., Janet Sylvia of Putham, CT., Beverly Hubert of Fairhaven, MA., and Joyce Faria of East Otis, MA. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Desautels was the son of the late Maurice and Theresa (Cardinal) Desautels. He was born in Oxford, MA. he lived most of his life in this area. He was a custodian for the New Bedford School Department until his retirement. He was a Corporal in the United States Marine Reserve. He was a member of the Andrew-Dahill Post # 1531 V.F.W.
