Mary L. Cornell, 67, died January 16, 2005 at a Bedford nursing facility after a period of declining health.
She was born in Fall River, MA on November 6, 1937, the daughter of Frederic and Marjorie (Staples) Cornell. She was educated in the Bristol, RI school system and was a graduate of Roger Williams School of Nursing in Providence, RI.
She had spent her entire career as a registered nurse working at the Elliot Hospital in Manchester, NH. She was a needlework specialist and held membership in the Valley Artisans. She also loved to travel.
Members of her family include two sisters, Betsy Chatman of Antrim, NH and Nancy Williams of Somerville, SC; a brother, Frederic Cornell Jr. of Germantown, WI; many nephews, nieces, great-nephews, and great-nieces.
A memorial reception was held in Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., corner of North St., Manchester, on Thursday January 20, 2005. The funeral service followed in the funeral home chapel.
