Ernest D. LeBlanc, Sr., 84, of Londonderry, NH, died Sunday, January 16, 2005 in the Elliot Hospital, Manchester, NH. Mr. LeBlanc was born in Fitchburg, MA on October 20, 1920, a son of the late Napoleon and Regina (Babineau) LeBlanc. He was a resident of Londonderry for 48 years, formerly living in Manchester. He was employed as a Letter Carrier and Postal Worker for the US Postal Service in Manchester until his retirement in 1998 at the age of 78. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 5260 in Manchester, where he was a Past Grand Knight and financial secretary. He also sang in the Knights of Columbus Variety Show. He was a communicant of St. Jude Parish, Londonderry. Mr. LeBlanc was a US Army World War II veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Cecile M. (Nault) LeBlanc of Londonderry, one son, Ernest D. LeBlanc Jr. of Holiday, FL, four daughters, Elaine Fugere of Hampton, NH, Marilyn Cormier of Londonderry, Melanie Martel of Manchester, Nicole LeBlanc of San Diego, CA, 11 grandchildren, five great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one son George LeBlanc in 1970, one daughter Loretta LeBlanc in 1954 and one grandson.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday January 19th at 10:00am at St. Jude Parish, 435 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Manchester. Friends may call on Tuesday from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8pm at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Precious Blood Monastery, 700 Bridge Street, Manchester, NH 03104.
