Clarence E. Stanton age 74 of Salem, NH, died Sunday at the Holy Family Hospital, Methuen, MA.
He was born in Winthrop, MA. He was a resident of Salem, NH for the past 5 years, formerly of Salem, Massachusetts.
Mr. Stanton was a Bus Driver for the M.B.T.A in Boston, MA. He was a member of the Tabernacle Church in Salem, MA, a member of the Christopher Columbus Society in Salem, MA, and chairman of the North Shore Handicapped Association in Salem, MA.
Mr. Stanton was a US Army veteran, serving in the Korean War, where he received several medals including the Purple Heart with Cluster. He was also a member of the VFW Salem, NH Memorial Post 8546 in Salem, NH.
He is survived by his Wife: Anna L. (Marfongelli) Stanton of Salem, NH
1 Son: Brian E. & his Wife Patricia Stanton of Salem, NH
1 Daughter: Kathleen & her Husband Condall Clegg of Texas
1 Brother: David Stanton of Arizona
4 Grandsons, Several Nieces & Nephews
Calling hours will be held Wednesday, January 19, 2005 from 4-8 PM at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main Street, Salem, NH. Cremation will follow.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 20, 2005, at 10:00 AM at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home.
