Irene E. Williams, 94 of Somerville died Sunday unexpectedly in the Lahey Clinic Medical Center Burlington.
Born in Boston, she lived in Somerville all her life and was the daughter of the late Emma (Marcel) and William Rose. Irene was a Sterilizer, in the OR department at Somerville Hospital for 15 years and retired in 1980. Irene was an avid Bingo Player.
Beloved wife of the late Manuel J. Williams. Devoted mother of Christine Rubinski of Malden, Eleanor Taddeo of Medford, Lawrence Williams of Stoneham, Lorraine Ackerman of Bedford, and the late Robert A. Williams. Also survived by 14 loving grandchildren and 17 loving great grandchildren. Sister of the late Arthur, Albert and Anthony Rose.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Friday at 8 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Ann Church, 399 Medford St., Somerville, at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
