Worcester - Arthur G. Belanger, 80, of 1 Lisbon St. died Friday April 5 in UMASS Memorial Medical Center University Campus after an illness.
His wife Jeannette B. (Roy) Belanger died in 1997. He leaves one son Raymond A. Belanger of Worcester; one daughter Mary Lou Peterson of Holyoke and one Granddaughter. Mr. Belanger was born in Brockton, MA son of George and Bernadette (Belanger) Belanger.
He was an Army veteran of World War II serving in the South Pacific.
Mr. Belanger worked for H.B. Hood & Sons Dairy as a milk route foreman for 20 years retiring in 1975. He later worked for 10 years at the former State Mutual Company.
He was also a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Church.
The funeral will be held on Monday April 8 at 10 AM in St. Andrew The Apostle Church 5 Spaulding St.. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society 507 Park Avenue Worcester, MA 01603.
