Obituary

Worcester – Robert A. Goulet, 78, of 627 South Rd. Oakham formerly of North Quinsigamond Ave. Shrewsbury died on Sunday January 16 in the St. Francis Home after an illness.

Mr. Goulet is survived by two sisters Ruth Bealand of Oakham and Felice Godin of Clemmons, NC; a beloved cousin Herman and Lucille Danker of Conway, SC; and several nephews and nieces including Carmella, James, Malana, Clarissa, Cassandra, Curtis, Ashley and Ryan all of Oakham. He is predeceased by a sister Joyce Goulet and a brother Paul Goulet. Mr. Goulet was born in Worcester son of Anthony and Olive (LaForte) Goulet.


He is a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II. Mr. Goulet worked as a machinist for 23 years at Wright Machine Co. before retiring in1990.


He was a member of the Main South American Legion Post #341, the Worcester Lodge of Elks #243, and the Worcester Men of Song. Mr. Goulet was a volunteer at the Shrewsbury Senior Center and the Senior Housing in Shrewsbury.


A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday Jan. 21 at 10 AM in St. John The Baptist Church North Brookfield Rd., in East Brookfield. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the St. John the Baptist Restoration Fund 121 Blaine Ave. East Brookfield, MA 01515.
