Paul A. Sullivan, 83, of Londonderry, NH, passed away Sunday, March 8, 2015 after a long illness, surrounded by his loving family. Paul was born in Somerville, MA, son of the late Frank and Mabel (McNamara) Sullivan, he was raised and educated in Somerville, prior to moving to Londonderry in the 1940’s. He graduated from Pinkerton Academy, class of 1949, then proudly served in the US Navy and was discharged in 1954.
Following retirement from the NH State Liquor Commission in 1994, he and his wife Nancy wintered in Florida and enjoyed many years of traveling, including Hawaii, Alaska, Ireland, England and Scotland. Paul enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, whether it be watching airplanes or sitting at the ball field. He will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Nancy (Gray) Sullivan, six children, Kevin Sullivan of Ft. Myers, FL., Kathi Sullivan of Cape Coral, FL., Joanne Green and her husband Jim of Barnstead, NH, Jeff Sullivan and his wife JoEllen of Londonderry, Pat Sullivan of Cape Coral, FL. and Tim Sullivan and his wife Michelle of Litchfield, Eight grandchildren, Bill Bisson of Portland, ME, Tyler Sullivan of Cape Coral, FL., Dan Bisson of Manchester, NH, Kylie Sullivan of Cape Coral, FL., Kolby Sullivan of Litchfield, Madison, Ethan and Nathan Sullivan of Londonderry and one great grandson, Benjamin Sullivan of Cape Coral, FL., a brother and his wife, Jack and Rose Sullivan of Jefferson, NH, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother Frank Sullivan.
Calling hours were Thursday, March 12, 2015 from 4 to 8 pm at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Road, Londonderry, NH. A Liturgy of the Word was celebrated Friday the 13th at 10 am at St. Jude Parish, 435 Mammoth Road, Londonderry.
