Worcester – Ruth J. Ciras, 87, of Worcester, died on Friday, March 6th in Saint Vincent Hospital after an illness.
Ms. Ciras was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Roy and Josephine (Dzvonkus) Ciras and is survived by a sister in law, Ora Ciras of Worcester and 7 nephews. She was also predeceased by two brothers, Frank V. Ciras and Vitty P. Ciras.
Ruth is a graduate of the former Classical High School in Worcester and worked for over 25 years at the former State Mutual Assurance Company as a clerk in the Policy Holder Services Division. She was an avid reader and a collector of dolls, especially Annalee Dolls.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, March 10th from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. With a Mass at 10:30 AM in Our Lady of Vilna Church 151 Sterling Street. Burial will follow in Saint John’s Cemetery. Calling hours are on Monday, March 9th from 5 to 7 PM in the funeral home.
