Roger F. Winton, 67, of Derry, NH died Friday January14, 2005 in the Parkland Medical Center, Derry. Mr. Winton was born in Springfield, MA on June 29, 1937 a son of the late Walter and Mary (Fitzgerald) Winton. He had resided in Derry for the past 30 years, formerly living in Lawrence, MA. Mr. Winton served in the US Army. He retired after nearly 40 years from Raytheon in Andover, Ma where he had worked in the United States and overseas. Mr. Winton showed pride and devotion to any task he took on.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Blanche (Demers) Winton of Derry, two stepdaughters, Mary Lou Johnson of Naples, FL, Diana Torosian of Methuen, MA, one stepson, Gary Dargoonian of Derry, eight grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, one brother, David Winton of Conventry, CT, one aunt, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday January 18th at 10:00am in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 26 Crystal Ave., Derry. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, E. Derry. Friends may call on Monday from 6 - 9pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry.
