Obituary

Canterbury-----James A Bammarito, 86, of Robin Shore Drive died at Lakes Region Hospital on Saturday, February 28, 2015 with his beloved wife by his side after a long courageous battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP).

James was born in Gloucester, MA on December 22, 1928 the son of Anthony and Katherine (Dandelo) Bammarito. He had been a long time resident of Canterbury for the past forty years.

Survivors include his wife of forty years, Mary D. (Duggan)Bammarito, of Canterbury; five sisters and one brother of Gloucester, MA, a stepson, Lawrence Record and wife Maureen Record of Belmont a step daughter, Jacklyn Cuesta and husband Miguel Cuesta of Lowell, MA five grandchildren, Todd McLaughlin, James Agrusso, Shawn McLaughlin, Tina Fleming, Jason Record and eleven great-grandchildren. James was predeceased by his parents.

James was a graduate of Gloucester High School, class of 1947 where he studied carpentry and was the captain of his football team and ROTC.

James owned and operated Reindeer Construction and had been a carpenter for sixty years.

James cherished and loved his three great-grandchildren Tyler, Lizzie and Becca, they were his greatest form of love, enjoyment and happiness. His fondest memories were teaching them how to fish at his private pond.

James leaves behind his beloved wife Mary who was his best friend and love of his life. Mary was James's 24/7 care taker for the past fourteen years. They loved traveling, trips to Atlantic City, Shuffle Board tournaments in Sarasota Florida and dancing together to big band music that will live on forever. James's kind voice and his loving last words, I love you now and forever Mary, will always be cherished.

Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
