New Bedford - Luis S. Ferreira , aged 47 yrs. died Tuesday January 11, 2005 at St. Lukes Hospital after a brief illness. He was the husband of Ana I. (Nunes) Ferreira. Mr. Ferreira is survived by a Stepdaughter Carla Silva and a stepson Mark Silva, Siblings include Manuel Ferreira Cidalia Simas, Mario Ferreira, Isabel Fereira, Margo Ferreira and Robert Ferreira all of East Providence Fatima Raposo and Noelia Fraga of Toronto, Canada Jose C. Ferreira , Natalia Ferreira and Gabriala Silveira of Portugal and Several Nieces and Nephews.
Mr. Ferreira was born in Horta Faial, Azores and lived in this area for 5 yrs.He played trombone in the Philharmonic of Flamingos in Faial. He worked as a mason for Costa Brothers in Fairhaven until his illness
Funeral will take place Thursday at St. John the Baptist Church at 10 AM. Visiting hours will be Wednesday from 5 to 8 PM Burial will take place at St. John's Cemetery
