Obituary

Antone Marion, Jr., 85, of Little Compton died Friday, February 27, 2015 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Agatha M. (Gomez) Marion, they were married for 60 years.
Born in Fall River, he was son of the late Antone and Louise (DeCosta) Marion. He was a veteran of the Korean War. Prior to retirement he was postmaster for the U.S. Postal Service in Little Compton and also served as treasurer for the Little Compton Volunteer Fire Department and as a part time dispatcher for the Little Compton Police and Fire Departments. Mr. Marion was a Communicant of St. Catherine of Siena Church, Little Compton and served on the Little Compton Zoning Board Review and the Little Compton Board of Canvassers. He was involved in the Little Compton Little League for many years and was a charter member of the Knights of Columbus, Fr. Boehr Chapter, Tiverton. He was also an avid golfer and a New York Yankees fan.
Including his wife, survivors include a son: Antone “Buzzy” Marion III and his wife Karen of Little Compton; 2 daughters: Beth A. Marion and her husband Paul White of Kingston, RI and Amy B. Marion and her husband Christopher Woods of Greenland, NH; 3 grandchildren: Anna Kidd, Andrew Marion and Jacob Marion; and a great grandson: Logan Kidd.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Wednesday, March 4, 2015 from the Potter Funeral Home at 8:30 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Catherine of Siena Church at 10:00 A.M.
Calling hours Tuesday 4 – 7 P.M.
Interment in Our Lady of Fatima Cemetery, Little Compton.
