
Germania Phillips, 94, of Provincetown died February 26th in Seashore Point Wellness Center, Provincetown. She was the wife of the late Manuel ‘Captain Manny’ Phillips.
Born in Provincetown, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Pauline (Gaspa) Captiva. She graduated from Provincetown High School. Germania, along with her husband of 50 years owned the Costal Acres Camping Court. Her husband retired in 1974 to return to his first love, the sea. She continued to run Costal Acres until her retirement in 2010.
She was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Church. She also enjoyed collecting antiques.
Six daughters, Paula Perry of Provincetown, Karen Veara of East Dennis, Margo Martin of Truro, Cynthia Perry of Provincetown, June Salvador of Wellfleet, and Deolinda Phillips of Navarre, Florida survive her. A sister-in-law, Patricia Ferreira of Wellfleet as well as 11 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews also survive her. She was predeceased by a grandson, Mark Broderick Perry.
A Funeral Mass will be held, Thursday, March 5th, at 10:00 am in St. Peter the Apostle Church, Prince St, Provincetown. Burial will be in St Peters Cemetery in the spring.
