Sandra “Sandy” Smith, 57, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Wednesday, January 5, 2005, at her residence.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 A.M., Friday, January 7, 2005, at Evergreen Cemetery, Fitzgerald, with Dr. Lloyd Stembridge officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7:00 until 9:00, Thursday evening.
Mrs. Smith was born May 23, 1947, in Fitzgerald, Georgia to the late Hulan and Elizabeth Cobb Singletary. She moved back to Fitzgerald in 1980 from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and was a former resident of Atlanta. Mrs. Smith sold and recruited for Avon and was a former sales agent for Liberty National Life Insurance Company. She was a member of Arbor Baptist Church.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband: David Smith, Fitzgerald; four children: Heather (James) Batye, Fairbanks, Alaska, Shane Sapp, Fitzgerald, Glenn Smith and Janie (Eddie) Arnold, all of Moultrie; five grandchildren; one brother: Harry (Sandra) Singletary, Fitzgerald; three sisters: Hulene (Frank) Carson, Ontario, Canada, Mildred (John) Bacon, Lenora, NC and Janelle Budd, Keystone Heights, Fl; one sister-in-law: Irene Singletary. Denver. CO; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, W.T. Singletary.
