Catherine M. Clark, 87, of Houston County, Georgia, died Wednesday, January 5, 2005 at Elberta Nursing Home in Warner Robins, Georgia.
Graveside services will be at held 11:00 A.M. Thursday, January 6, 2005, at Evergreen Cemetery, Fitzgerald, with the Rev. Bobby Rodgers officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 AM, Thursday morning until the funeral hour.
Mrs. Clark was born October 30, 1917, in Hawkinsville, Georgia, to the late Jacob James and Mary Gibbs Knight. She moved to Houston County in 1999 from Tampa, Florida, where she lived since 1959 and was a former resident of Fitzgerald for many years. Mrs. Clark retired from Tampa General Hospital and was a former employee of Fitzgerald Mills. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Tampa, Florida.
Mrs. Clark is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Jackie and Charles Bradford, Centerville, GA; two grandchildren and spouses: Jeff & Christine Bradford and Jennifer & Vince Underwood; four great-grandchildren: Christopher and Stephanie Bradford and Daniel and David Underwood; one brother: Nick Knight, Canton, GA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Mendel, a son, Randy Mendel, four brothers and a sister.
