Waterboro----Thaxter Louise (Nemet) Lagueux Corriveau, 77, went home to be with her beloved Lord and Savior on February 20, 2015, surrounded by loving family.
Formerly of Biddeford, ME and Laconia, NH, she had recently been living in Waterboro, ME with her daughter, Kathy White and family.
She was born in Biddeford to George and Marion Nemet and attended schools in Dayton and Biddeford.
Thaxter was predeceased by her first husband, Roland Lagueux and her second husband, John Corriveau. For over 35 years she opened her home in Laconia, NH to care for the elderly and those with special needs.
She is survived by her sons – Donald Lagueux, Roland Lagueux, Jr., Michael Lagueux, Richard Lagueux, David Lagueux and daughters – Deborah and husband Gerald Taylor, Sharon and husband Will Woodson, Diane and husband Jay Bell, Kathy & husband Walter White, Marlene Sargent, Lisa Lagueux, Penny Desaalines, Elizabeth and husband Matthew Gullage – 42 grandchildren, 59 great grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren, and two sisters – Marlene McPherson and Nancy Bourque.
A “Celebration of Life” will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 3:00pm, at the Wormwood Center, 15 Oak Hill Road, Sanford, ME.
