Maxie Sizemore Spivey, 73, of Tifton passed away Saturday, February 21, 2015, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 25, 2015, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with Rev. Jimmie Hinson officiating. Mrs. Spivey will be laid to rest at Westview Cemetery in Nashville. The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 24, 2015, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Dallas Hunt, Sam Wright, Tommy Mullis, Scott Fowler, Robby Mullis and Chris Mullis will serve as pallbearers.
Mrs. Spivey was born July 31, 1941 in Alapaha and was the daughter of Vernon Sizemore and Loudell Pafford Sizemore, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Wycliff Sizemore, Dorsey Sizemore and James Sizemore. She worked at Shoney’s for many years and loved her Shoney’s family dearly.
Mrs. Spivey is survived by her husband, H. J. Spivey of Tifton; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Michael and Michele Masterson of Omega and Rodney Spivey of Tifton; two brothers, Larry Sizemore of Nashville and Roy Sizemore of Sylvester; a sister-in-law and her husband, Kim and Robert Robertson of Soperton; one grandchild, Hayden Masterson; and several nieces and nephews.
