Obituary

East Bridgewater – Kenneth J. Swanson died February 19 at the age of 88.

Son of Carl U. Swanson and Mildred (Douglas) Swanson, he was born in Brockton and had resided there until the time of his marriage in 1950 when he moved to East Bridgewater.

Kenneth was veteran of World War II having served in the US Army and stationed Germany for three years.

He was employed as a printer by Plympton Press of Norwood for sixteen years and later by Haliday Lithograph of Hanover until his retirement in 1987.

Kenneth enjoyed gardening, woodworking and making Hobby Horses which he sold from his home.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years Meredith (Winsor) Swanson, two sons John K. Swanson of East Bridgewater and Keith D. Swanson and his wife Donna of Halifax, and his daughter Carol L. Murray of East Bridgewater. He was the father of the late Dean W. Swanson and brother of the late Carl U. Swanson, Jr and Wendell D. Swanson. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.

The family extends their sincere gratitude to the entire staff of the Sachem Center for Health & Rehab for the compassionate care given to him while under their care.
