Obituary


Margaret M. Crowley (nee Ahern) a long time resident of Canton, died on February 18, 2015 in the Hellenic Nursing Home in Canton after a long illness. She was 95 years old.

She was born in Cork City, County Cork, Ireland and immigrated to the United States at 5 years of age. She was the only daughter of the late Timothy and Abagail Ahern. She was a teacher’s aide at the Dean S. Luce School, a lunch mother at St. John the Evangelist School in Canton, a school crossing guard and a volunteer for the American Red Cross.

Devoted wife of the late retired Canton Fire Chief F. David Crowley, loving mother of Betty Ann Crowley of CA and Martha’s Vineyard and David Crowley and his wife Annette (Penny) of Canton. Proud grandmother of Chelsea and Makaila Crowley of Canton.

A Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John the Evangelist Church 700 Washington St., Canton on Monday at 10:30am followed by interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Relatives & friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours are on Sunday from 4-8pm at the Roache-Pushard Funeral Home 210 Sherman St., Canton.
