Irene (Furtado) Rebello, 89, of New Bedford died January 5, 2005 at the New Bedford Jewish Convalescent Home after a long illness.
She was the wife of the late Carlos Rebello.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Manuel and Marianna (Mello) Furtado, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
Mrs. Rebello was a communicant of St. James Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Sylvia Lent, and her husband Kenneth, of Dartmouth; a son, Charles Rebello, and his wife Geraldine, of Simpsonville, SC; a sister, Palmeda Perry of New Bedford; 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford Saturday, January 8th at 8 AM.
Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish at St. James Church at 9 AM.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Visiting hours Friday, January 7th from 5-8 PM.
Interment St. John's Cemetery.
