Rita (Michopoulos) Govatos of Stoneham passed away on Tuesday, January 04, 2005 at her home.
Born in Lowell, Rita was a longtime resident of Stoneham. Rita was the cherished daughter of the late Dionsios Michopoulos and Victoria Michopoulos. Rita was a warm and loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt and friend. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Rita was a dedicated homemaker for many years. She loved her family. They were first and foremost in her life.
Rita was the beloved wife of the late Gabriel Govatos. She was the devoted mother of Charles G. Govatos of Stoneham and the dear sister of Xenophon Michopoulos of Nashua, New Hampshire and Betty Veves of Marlton New Jersey.
Funeral from the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Friday at 10am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrating Rita’s life in The Annunciation of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church, 70 Montvale Ave. Woburn at 11am. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours Thursday 4-6pm. Parking attendants will be on duty. Interment Lindenwood Cemetery, Stoneham.
