Obituary

William E. “Leo” Fleury, 77 of Billerica died Sunday after a long illness.

Born in Boston, he lived in Billerica for the past 30 years and formerly of Medford. He was the son of the late Marie (Doyon) and William Fleury. Leo worked as a Machine Operator for 15 years at Jefferson Smurfitt Box Co. in Wakefield and retired in 1993. He also served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War as a Corporal from 1951 to 1953. Prior to that he was a Merchant Marine with the U.S. Coast Guard.
Beloved husband of Janet (Quartarone). Devoted father of John R. Fleury and his wife Patricia of Georgia, Wayne R. Fleury, David Meears both of Malden. Loving grandfather of Ryan and Kara. Brother of Blanche Chaffalo of Norwood, Lillian Centrella of Medford and the late Oscar, Gerard, Paul Fleury, Marion Dellacroce, and Jeannette Botello.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St. MEDFORD Thursday at 10 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner St. Medford at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent in Leo’s memory to the VNA of Middlesex East, 607 North Ave., Suite 17, Wakefield, MA 01880.
