Alexander J. Breda of Needham and Meredith NH died on Saturday January 1, 2005 at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. He was 93 years old. Mr. Breda was a Needham resident for over 50 years and he had summered in Meredith NH since 1945. He worked for Vappi Construction as a foreman, retiring in 1976. During his years in construction, Mr. Breda worked on many Boston landmarks including the Esplanade section of Storrow Drive, the Arthur Fiedler Footbridge, the Prudential Center, the Westgate Dorm at MIT and the Radcliffe Library. He was a former member of the Winnipesaukee Sportsmen’s Club. The beloved husband of Ead L. ((Feroli) of Needham, he also leaves his children Dorothy B. Berkoben of Arlington and John A. Breda MD of Needham. Hec was the grandfather of Keith A. Berkoben of Arlington and Joseph S. Breda of Needham. Funeral from the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Avenue Needham (exit 19B off of Rte 128) on Saturday January 8 at 9:00 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Saint Bartholomew Church at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours on Friday from 5-8 PM. Interment at Saint Mary’s Cemetery in Needham.
