Felix "Phil" Sylwanovicz,82, of 40 School St., died Monday, Jan. 3 at Christopher House in Worcester.
He leaves his wife of 58 years, Anna M. (Markunas) Sylwanovicz, a son Stanley F. husband of Florence M. Sylwanovicz of Auburn, two daughters Rose Ann wife of Philip J. Collette and Susan wife of Kenneth C. Mellen all of Spencer, three grand and two great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Mr. Sylwanovicz was a core maker at Standard Foundry in Worcester for 38 years, retiring in 1984. He was an Army veteran of WWII serving in the Medical Corps in Germany, France and Normandy. He was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Church. He enjoyed fishing, ballroom dancing, bowling and was a Red Sox Fan. He loved and respected animals.
Born in Worcester, he was the son of Joseph and Veronica (Ganar) Sylwanovicz and lived here since 1950.
The funeral will be held Thursday,Jan. 6 from the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 7 Church St., Spencer. Burial will follow in Mary,Queen of the Rosary Cemetery, Spencer.
