BRIDGEWATER - Edward L. Lescord, 95, of Bridgewater, formerly of Hyde park, died Thursday, Dec. 30, 2004, at Brockton Hospital after a period of failing health. He was the husband of the late Sarah (Puopolo) Lescord.
Born in Salem, he was the son of the late Ernest and Agnes (Fontaine) Lescord.
Mr. Lescord worked as a set up man for Standard Thompson Company in Waltham for many years.
He had resided in Bridgewater for the past 11 years, coming from Hyde Park, where he lived for many years.
He is survived by his daughter, Madeline M. Dyer of Bridgewater; his grandchildren, Michelle Veiga, Monica Ridgley and Stephen Dyer; and a great-grandchild, Messiah J. Ridgley II. He was father to the late Edward L. Jr. and brother to the late Lena Putnam and Wilbur Lescord.
His funeral will be held at 8:15 a.m. Tuesday from Prophett Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St. (Rte. 18), Bridgewater, followed by a funeral Mass at 9 in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Bridgewater. Burial will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery.
Visiting hours are Monday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the funeral home.
