Angelo J. Scapicchio, of Providence, died Saturday at his home, in the company of a loving family. He was 70.
Mr. Scapicchio was born and raised in Boston’s North End, the son of the late Peter and the late Mariarosa (Iascone) Scapicchio. A graduate of Boston University, Angelo worked at his father’s company, The Boston Brass Andiron Co. Angelo later moved to California where he worked in Gov. Ronald Reagan’s administration as an auditor in the Legal Rural Assistance Program. Angelo later became Vice President of Commercial Loans with the Crocker Bank in California. After taking early retirement in 1988, Angelo came back east and settled in Providence where he worked as a part-time real estate broker.
He was the beloved brother of James, Dorothy and Sebastian Scapicchio all of Boston, Lydia Nuzzo, Concetta, Robert and Peter Scapicchio all of Medford and Mary McCann of Fla. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
His Funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Wednesday at 10 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford, at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
